Abstract:
The saga of B45, who dispersed from Idaho in 1999 and became the first wild wolf seen in Oregon in over 50 years, stirring up a storm of controversy. Her story is a clear indication that wolf recovery in the American West has moved to its second stage -- wolves and humans learning to coexist. That's why biologists and wildlife managers have redoubled their efforts  to find ways of keeping wolves away from domestic animals.
